Young Innovators from Our Rural Schools Head to Global AI Summit
Four students from Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam, our free rural education initiative under the One World One Family Mission, have been selected among the top 40+ young innovators for the prestigious Global Junicorn and AI Summit 2025 in Texas, USA.
These students—still in secondary school—will represent India on 29–30 May at Texas State University, San Marcos, where they’ll showcase their ideas alongside peers from India and the US.
What makes this moment special?
These young minds don’t just invent but they care. Their ideas rooted in compassion and designed to serve.
Tackling Heatwaves with ‘Wave Warn’
Pranav Sai and Pranav D R know what it feels like to work under a scorching sun. Concerned about rising temperatures and extreme weather, they came up with a tool that can save lives: Wave Warn.
It’s a heatwave early warning system built in their school’s Atal Tinkering Lab. Using satellite data, weather APIs, and machine learning, it gives hyperlocal forecasts up to 10 days in advance.
The plan is to make the tool available via a mobile app, WhatsApp chatbot, SMS alerts, and community networks, ensuring it reaches those who need it most.
Helping the Blind and Deaf with ‘Sense Vibe’
Tej Krishna and Saket Ram turned their attention to those who live without sight or hearing. Their idea? A wearable device that lets users sense obstacles and avoid harm.
The Sense Vibe uses sensors, vibration motors, and microcontrollers to alert the wearer through haptic feedback. It can be attached to a belt, walking stick, or spectacles—giving freedom of movement without fear.
More Than Just Invention
These four students aren’t just thinkers. They’re doers—products of a values-based education that encourages empathy and problem-solving.
They’ve been nurtured by the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam, part of the One World One Family Mission. This model offers completely free education to rural children from Grade 6 through university and even doctoral studies.
The focus is clear: strengthen rural India by uplifting rural youth.
A Stage for Purpose-Driven Youth
The Global Junicorn and AI Summit brings together rising startups, AI pioneers, global mentors, and changemakers. Thanks to the International Startup Foundation for giving young minds like these a chance to shine.
Their presence at the summit is not just a proud moment for their school.
It’s a call to all of us: What can you build—not just to succeed—but to serve?
