Sri Madhusudan Sai’s Visit to Greece, Italy, and Croatia

The journey continued in Athens, where Sri Madhusudan Sai visited the ancient Temple of Poseidon, a sacred place where seafarers once prayed for protection. In a country steeped in history and mythology, his visit became a bridge between the spiritual heritage of the past and the living mission of love and service.

A deeply moving satsang followed at the residence of Mr. George Sioufas, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sri Madhusudan Sai for the personal transformation he had experienced under his guidance. Sri Madhusudan Sai, in turn, reminded the gathering that while educational and medical institutions are important, his true mission lies in transforming hearts by helping individuals lead lives of purpose, compassion, and selflessness.

During a formal event attended by India’s Ambassador to Greece, Sri Rudrendra Tandon, Sri Madhusudan Sai honoured two remarkable women, Mrs. Anaesthesia Thecai and Mrs. Helen Soteriou for their decades of service to the vulnerable. The Ambassador praised their commitment and reflected on the profound role of dharma (our duty to one another) while sharing his joy in encountering Sri Madhusudan Sai

In Italy, Sri Madhusudan Sai’s journey carried deep spiritual resonance. He visited Massa Carrara, where a towering 21-foot statue of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is being carved from a single block of white Italian marble. This statue will be installed in the upcoming 600-bedded hospital at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli as a symbol of healing and love.

Sri Madhusudan Sai then visited the University of Padua, one of the oldest universities in the world, where he met with leading academicians and explored the historic Anatomy Theatre, once a cradle of modern science. The visit served as a reminder that the pursuit of knowledge and the pursuit of truth are inseparably intertwined.

In Assisi, Sri Madhusudan Sai held a private satsang at Casa Del Divino Ashram, where devotees gathered in devotion. Through the analogy of a monkey trapped by peanuts in a jar, he illustrated how attachments bind us, and how liberation lies in letting go through love and service. He reminded all that God dwells wherever love flows and service thrives—not just in temples, but in every selfless act.

At the public satsang in Assisi, Italian devotees offered soulful music, and a video showcased the Ashram’s many service projects, including feeding the hungry and offering spiritual retreats. Sri Madhusudan Sai’s message echoed through the hills of Assisi: when we surrender our will to the Divine, as St. Francis once did, our lives are filled with meaning and grace.

In Croatia, Sri Madhusudan Sai arrived in Zagreb to a warm welcome. A guided tour allowed his entourage to connect with the rich cultural fabric of the city. Later that evening, a satsang brought together the community in a shared spirit of devotion and reflection.

The program featured chanting from the Brahma Stuti, followed by a presentation on the Ananda Trust’s ongoing service activities including food distribution, environmental programs, and value-based education. A vision for the Ananda Ashram in Krnjak, founded on Sri Madhusudan Sai’s guidance in 2016, was presented, highlighting its role as a spiritual and service hub for the Baltic region.

In his address, Sri Madhusudan Sai recounted the life of St. Francis of Assisi as an example of divine surrender, and shared stories from His own journey and that of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He encouraged all to walk the path of surrender, sacrifice, and strength—even when it is difficult for in doing so, we grow closer to God.

Sri Madhusudan Sai’s visit to Greece, Italy, and Croatia was far more than a spiritual tour it was a divine movement that stirred hearts and awakened communities to the higher purpose of life. Across sacred sites, universities, homes, and ashrams, his message was clear: True transformation begins within, and service is the purest expression of love.
