First Anniversary Celebrations of the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Sri Lanka
Another milestone in the journey of providing free healthcare to all

Sri Madhusudan Sai officially inaugurates the first-ever cath lab in the eastern province of Sri Lanka
On September 13th, 2023, the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Batticaloa celebrated its first anniversary in the presence of the founder, Sri Madhusudan Sai with a momentous event – the official inauguration of the groundbreaking Cath Lab facility. This facility, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka’s eastern province, signifies another significant step in the hospital’s mission of providing compassionate healthcare.
Since its inception, the hospital has extended its reach to offer free medical consultations, surgeries, catheterization procedures, medications, and essential healthcare services to individuals who were previously underserved or lacked access to such vital care. In a span of just over three months, the Cath Lab has successfully completed more than 220 cath procedures, demonstrating its immediate impact.
The hospital’s efforts are profoundly affecting the lives of countless individuals and families in a positive way. As Sri Madhusudan Sai aptly states, “When we save a patient, we are not just saving a life, but we are preserving the very heart and soul of families – fathers who care for their children, mothers who are the pillars of their homes. Saving a child means safeguarding not only the future of a family but also the future of the entire nation. In every life we save, we are, in essence, saving a piece of the world.”
