He spoke of a world lost in outer glitter, mistaking motion for meaning. “We are so engaged with the outer world,” he said, “but water cannot light a flame. Similarly, worldly desires can never kindle spiritual fire.” The purity of intention, he reminded, is more vital than the quantity of seva (service). True service begins with a pure heart, not restless action.

Sadguru illustrated his message with a simple yet powerful story. A young girl, devoted to Lord Shiva, crossed a flooded river daily to offer milk. One stormy day, her Guru scolded her for being late, saying, “If your devotion is true, you can cross the river.” The next day, she crossed the fierce waters unharmed, carried by faith alone. When the Guru, full of pride, tried the same, he sank for he lacked her sincerity.
The story touched every heart — a reminder that pure devotion transcends logic. Faith with sincerity is the true bridge across all obstacles.

In his timeless wisdom, Sadguru urged people to stop finding faults in Gurus and instead become the light themselves. “Don’t blame others. Don’t cling to desires. Create value in society,” he said. “Success is sweet only when earned with sincerity.”
He reminded the youth that modern success must not be measured in wealth alone. “Today, many young entrepreneurs chase money but forget values,” he said. “Real wealth lies in character, good karma, and service to others.” His words echoed the essence of Deepavali to replace the darkness of greed with the light of gratitude and growth.

The evening session began with the launch of a remarkable book — “An Introduction to Spirituality and Traditional Indian Medicine for Medical Students and Healthcare Professionals,” authored by Dr Hiramalini Seshadri, Senior Rheumatologist and Dr Divya Seshadri, Dermatologist and edited by Sri Pritam Sinha. The book beautifully bridges spiritual wisdom with modern healing, reminding that medicine, too, is a divine act of bringing light into lives clouded by sickness.
Sadguru continued, “Light represents knowledge. Darkness is ignorance — when you can’t see yourself.” He beautifully linked Deepavali and Dhanvantari Jayanti, explaining that medicine removes the darkness of disease, while wealth (Lakshmi) removes the darkness of deprivation. Yet, true wealth, he said, is not material — it is knowledge, good relationships, and noble character.
“Every time you light a lamp, remember,” he remarked, “you are lighting the lamp of knowledge within you. Deepavali is not just sweets and crackers, it is the courage to be your own light when there is none.” His message resonated, when there is no light, be your own support.
