Ashadi Ekadashi Celebrations – 17th July 2024
The celebration began on July 17th with the vibrant Ashadi Ekadashi festivities, a tribute to Lord Vittala. Students and staff of the institute came together to present a selection of abhangs, expressions of devotion and adoration for the revered deity. Sri Madhusudan Sai shared insights into the festival’s significance, highlighting the Warkaris’ traditional pilgrimage to Pandarpur. He explained how devotees consider Pandarpur as the mother’s home, walking barefoot to pay homage to Lord Vittala while glorifying His name through devotional hymns. Sri Madhusudan Sai also emphasised that this festival marks the commencement of Chaturmasya, four sacred months of great importance for spiritual growth and introspection.
Global Volunteer Meet – 19th July 2024
The Global Volunteer Meet united devotees from 60 countries, all sharing a passion for selfless service. Volunteers from Italy and Australia shared personal stories of transformation through service and overcoming challenges. A key highlight was the announcement of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s centenary birthday celebrations, scheduled from August to November 2025. This event will offer numerous opportunities for volunteers to participate and make a meaningful impact. Sri Madhusudan Sai emphasised the importance of committing to this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, encouraging physical participation to honour Bhagawan’s legacy of selfless love and service.

Paediatric Heart Valve Repair Conference – 19th July & 20th July 2024
The Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR), in collaboration with the Paediatric Cardiac Society of India (PCSI) and the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons (IATS), successfully hosted the world’s first Paediatric Heart Valve Repair Conference. This groundbreaking 2-day hybrid event brought together over 100 esteemed doctors from around the globe. The pioneering conference aimed to educate medical professionals on the latest technological advancements and innovative techniques in heart valve repair, offering significant improvements over traditional heart valve replacement methods. The event provided a unique opportunity for experts to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and advance the field of paediatric cardiovascular care.
Third Convocation of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence – 21st July 2024
The third convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence celebrated a momentous occasion, marking the graduation of 154 students. The chief guest, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, beamed with pride at the institute’s accomplishments and commended the exceptional transformative education provided to the students. This milestone event also saw the first batch of graduates from doctoral studies, while seven distinguished individuals received honorary doctorates. In his address, Sri Madhusudan Sai emphasised that the way forward lies in embracing vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam, a philosophy that recognises humanity as one family, where we are all equals.
Guru Purnima Celebrations – 21st July 2024
On this special day, tribute was paid to the wise and selfless guru who has dedicated his life to guiding and uplifting his disciples. The celebration was marked by the launch of several spiritual books and the ‘Do Good, See Good, Be Good’ books translated by the Australian youths. In his inspirational address, Sri Madhusudan Sai reminded us of the importance of living a life of selflessness and courage, embracing our dharma with unwavering commitment. He emphasised the significance of surrendering ourselves to the guru’s guidance, allowing ourselves to be shaped by their wisdom and compassion.
Paravidya Shibira – 22nd-25th July 2024
The Department of Vedic Studies hosted a captivating three-day course on the īśāvāsyopaniṣad, a revered Upanishad that explores the mysteries of the universe and our place within it. Sri Madhusudan Sai expertly guided participants through the 18 shlokas, illuminating the intricate meanings and significance behind each verse. As the course progressed, he lovingly answered numerous queries, providing insightful and thought-provoking responses that further deepened the participants’ understanding of the īśāvāsyopaniṣad. To further engage and assess participants’ understanding, a thrilling quiz session was conducted, testing their knowledge and practical application of the upaniṣad’s profound principles.
One World One Family Music Concert – 25th July 2024
The historic collaboration with Sai Symphony Orchestra united talented musicians from 16 countries. Together, they wove a rich tapestry of sounds, blending traditional instruments and styles to create a truly global musical experience. The performance showcased music’s power to unite people across cultures and borders, embodying Sri Madhusudan Sai’s vision of a world where humanity functions as one family.

As a sweet treat, he distributed chocolates throughout the hall, spreading happiness to all. Later, Sumeet Tappoo and his band of musicians serenaded him with devotional songs, filling the air with soulful melodies. Amidst the celebration, Sri Madhusudan Sai underscored the significance of nāmasmaraṇa (chanting the Lord’s name), explaining how this sacred practice can transform individuals and spread God’s glory globally.
