Sri Madhusudan Sai’s recent visit to Shimoga beautifully showcased this principle, leaving everyone inspired by His vision and dedication to nurturing a generation grounded in character and compassion.
During his time in Shimoga, Sri Madhusudan Sai graced two Evening Divine programmes that highlighted the importance of value-based education. The first, held at the BGS Convention Hall, was a heartfelt gathering where students, devotees, and well-wishers came together. Talks by respected elders and a young student reflected the transformative impact of education that blends academics with values. The evening ended with a fireside chat between Sri Madhusudan Sai and Dr. B.L. Shankar, a prominent cultural figure. Sri Madhusudan Sai reminded everyone that education without values is incomplete, as true learning shapes not just the intellect but also the heart.
The following morning, Sri Madhusudan Sai visited the Sri Sathya Sai Sarvaniketanam campus, where he inaugurated a new guest house, residence, and, later, a sports arena and an academic block supported by LIC. His joy was palpable as he interacted with students and faculty, acknowledging the campus’s progress. In his address, he likened values-based education to a form of life insurance, stating that the investment in nurturing young minds brings lifelong dividends, not just for individuals but for society as a whole.
Later that evening, Sri Madhusudan Sai graced another Evening Divine programme in Yellapur, held at Adike Bhavan. The gathering featured heartfelt talks by students and elders, followed by a vibrant fireside chat with Sri Hariprakash Konemane, a senior journalist and CEO of Vistara News Channel. Sri Madhusudan Sai shared his vision of reviving cultural values among the youth, reminding us all that true progress lies in balancing tradition with modernity.
Throughout his visit, Sri Madhusudan Sai’s interactions with the students were deeply personal and inspiring. He took the time to enquire about their well-being, offer guidance on moderation and discipline, and motivate them to embrace the values of selflessness and love.
During a Lokashri event at the campus, Sri Madhusudan Sai honoured individuals who have dedicated their lives to societal service. He spoke of the urgent need for role models in today’s world, emphasising that actions rooted in love and compassion can inspire countless others to serve humanity.
